Every month, thousands of young students visit DOMS manufacturing unit in Umbergaon, Gujarat for a guided tour. Not just students, but teachers, parents, family and others also come in numbers to enjoy this interesting industrial tour.
Here, they are taken through the entire plant where they witness the manufacturing of the products of their favourite stationery brand.
In a systematic manner, they are shown the various stages involved and the role that the employees play. It is an absolute fun way to observe, understand and learn something outside the school premises.
Institutions like Gundala Sakhi Sangam (Kutch Village) from Mumbai and Little Champs Summer Camp from Dahanu have taken this guided tour and immensely benefited from the same.
